Baby Bean Boutique
About the owner…
Babies have been my business for many years! With encouragement from my nursing school instructors, I began my career with newborns in 1999 when I became a labor and delivery nurse in New Jersey. I simultaneously started midwifery school at the University of Pennsylvania, working nights and attending classes during the day. It was during that time that I began to fully understand the culture of birth, the normalcy of birthing at home, the bond of breastfeeding, and the art of mothering. I worked as a midwife in New Jersey and then met the man of my dreams, my husband, Craig. During a very casual conversation one day, we discussed moving to another part of the country for a while, just for fun! Within 2 months, we had quit our jobs and moved three thousand miles to San Diego, California. We had planned to stay for only 6 months, but we both fell in love with Cali. We bought a home and are here to stay. Our son, Cole, was born at home in August of 2006. I am MOSTLY a work at home mom now. Six days a month I help moms birth their babies as a labor and delivery nurse. In December, I became a certificated Lactation Educator-Counselor through the University of California - San Diego.
Why Baby Bean Boutique? While I was pregnant with Cole and researching every detail, as most moms do, my husband kept suggesting that I put together a website with all of the great products that I had found. He thought that I could save other moms a lot of time searching for and buying less than perfect products. Here you’ll find cloth diapering supplies, the perfect babywearing Mei Tai, the ultimate breastfeeding bras and tanks, and items that will keep you hip and in style. Remember, YOU ARE NOT YOUR MOTHER!
I use and love all of the practical products in this store (diapers, bras, carriers, diaper accessories, skin care, BabyLegs, clothing, boy hats, etc.). That’s right. If Cole or I haven’t used it or tested it, it isn’t here. I see a lot of other sites that say different things work for different babies. While that may be true, I just can’t sell you something that doesn’t work for me. I won’t sell you a product that I don’t know anything about and can’t help you with. I make sure that the non-practical products I carry (ie “cute as a button merchandise”) meets my standards and generally is much too cute not to be considered a necessity. I also try and use products that are either made or developed by work at home mothers. If there is a product that you love and you don’t see it here, let me know! If you are a work at home mom with a great product, I want to see it! I want to make it easy for people to learn about cloth diapering, cool to breastfeed, and fun to babywear. I love talking with people about all things baby! My ultimate goal is to open a “brick and mortar” store here in Carlsbad, where I live with my family. In the meantime, you’ll find me at community street fairs, Farmer’s markets, health fairs, and maybe even in your home! Check out our FAQ page for more info. Right now…go! www.babybeanboutique.com

Happy Little Squeaker
About the owner…
I am a stay at home military wife, with three children. My youngest is 5 months old. I have always wanted to create a store that I would want to shop at. I sell my products at my local PX and on-line. I strive to bring the most natural and unique products at the lowest possible price. I am also dedicated to donating 1% of every sale to the Make a Wish Foundation.
This company allows me the opportunity to get out and meet new people, explore the new city I live in, try to help contribute to my family, research and shop for the best new products to sell and most of all share my true love of holding, nursing and caring for my children! So here it is Happy Little Squeaker, named after my youngest and all of the squeaks he makes! I hope you enjoy my store. www.happylittlesqueaker.com

Artisan Baby
A bit about the owner…
My name is Shannon Foster and many of you already know me as the mom behind Woollybottoms. I have been married to James for the past 11 years and am a mother to 2 (Sarah and Caleb). After the birth of Caleb in 2004, I decided to stay home after many years in the mainstream work force. Woollybottoms was started in the summer of 2005 and continues to grow with a unique line of wool cloth diaper covers made from recycled materials and hand dyed materials. I quickly came to prefer the flair of artisan made items for my entire home and family and have a real passion to support artisans and their families. At Artisan Baby, you will find a collection of unique, artisan crafted items geared towards your baby or toddler. Everything at Artisan Baby has been hand picked for excellent craftmanship and we feel very excited to share these items with you. www.artisanbaby.com
